My students need a document camera to be able to see pictures of things that are being taught to them.

I teach Chemistry and Physical Science in a rural community in Louisiana. Many of my students will go on to college where they will experience the equipment I am using in those facilities. I would love for them to be able to use and see it before they enter those doors.

Many of my students do not know what lies outside their community. They do not know the technology that exists, and the careers that are out there for them. Technology will allow me to show my students pictures of things that are talked about in class and other science related topics that are being taught to them.

A document camera will allow my students to see the pictures of things that are being taught to them. Sometimes science can be difficult to imagine, so students need actual examples. I know this document camera will also engage my students to want to learn science. The document camera will make it easier for students to show their work to the class. It will also allow me easily demonstrate to the students the steps used to solve problems. I will also be able to show students pictures without having to make copies for the entire class, and the pictures will also be in color which will make them more eye catching.

The document camera will make it possible for my students to engage in science. I hope to make science come alive for my students and show students that science can be fun.
