My students need a CD/cassette player, 4 headphones, and a juncture box in order to create a multi user listening center.

My third grade classroom is located in a high-need community. Our school is very old but we have a lot of school pride.

I would like to provide a multi-user listening center for my students to use during listening to reading time. I have one small cassette player that only one student at a time may use. Our district budget has been frozen and new materials will not be purchased.

I would like to provide a multi-user listening center to my students. Up to eight students can use the center at one time. I could have a whole reading group listen to a story at the same time and then meet and discuss the story immediately afterward. This center would be a wonderful way to promote whole group discussion and help with retention of the story. I would save valuable literacy time by having a whole group listen together.

Your help will provide my students with the necessary tools on our journey towards literacy proficiency. My students work very hard at learning to read and having the proper tools to work with will help encourage them to continue to learn. Your donations tell my students that many people want them to be successful and are willing to help them become GREAT readers.
