"We might be small, but we have big dreams! And my students are determined to reach them! I teach 5th grade at a small public school. Half of my students come from the area, but the other half are at our school via opportunity transfer and ride the bus an hour and a half each way to and from the inner city. Our school gets ignored for funding due to our size, neighborhood, and good scores. But since when do we punish hard workers? Shouldn't we benefit also?

Imagine being excited to come to school to participate in class discussions and prove your knowledge on tests. Our ActivBoard has helped with that, but only one student can participate at a time and the other students are frustrated at waiting and wanting to participate.

On top of that, my class has made a commitment to go green and paperless. I assign many online homework assignments, send notices via email, and upload project packets to my class website. So why should classwork and tests be any different? Let's eliminate the paper and go green! Plus, without grading papers, there is more time for fun, in-depth activities!

We can use our ActiVotes to participate in class discussions, without anyone slacking off, being afraid to answer, or feeling embarrassed. Instead of big, scary tests, the teacher can ask a simple question and the students can vote on their answers along the way. Then the ActiVote tracks their answers and the students can see their progress. It easily tells the teacher which concepts need to be reviewed and, if not by the whole class, then whom!

You can alleviate that feeling you remember in the pit of your stomach, afraid of raising your hand in class, fearing the teacher might call on you. You can make every day at school like being on a game show...a fast paced, environmentally friendly game show! HIDE
