"Attention! Kindergarten teacher is seeking donors who want to enhance the lives of her students.
Unfortunately for my kids, I teach at a high poverty school in Florida, and I need your help.
In our classroom, we have a 9 x 12, plain blue carpet where the students spend about 70 percent of their day. Everyday, we do our morning calendar time, letter of the week, hands-on math lessons, circle time, read-aloud and many more activities on this carpet.
To be honest, our carpet is old, has small tares and years-worth of sticky tape residue. All of the teachers use the tape to box-off individual spaces for students, but the old tape and sticky tape residue will not completely come off. An old carpet with sticky residue is not an adequate learning space because it distracts the students during our hands-on lessons.
I need help purchasing a specific, new carpet, which includes a teacher's guide that turns it into an interactive learning tool. The carpet has 20 numbered spaces for my students to sit on and the alphabet lined along the perimeter.
Your donation would enhance hours of instructional time, and provide a beautiful learning environment for my students now and for years to come.
My students need a Numbers & Letters Activity Carpet.
The cost of this proposal is $622, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear Dalton, Shawn Gauthier, Rafael Lozano III, luis, Fred, kwadwo, Delanie, Stacy, Sergio, Danny, Susan, Stacey, Alex, Elvin, Madge, Odeeline and Anonymous Donors,
I can not thank you enough for your generous donations.
This carpet will provide a beautiful place for my students to learn. The carpet can be used as an interactive tool when teaching math and reading. I am looking forward to using it to increase number recognition and alphabet knowledge.
My students will be so excited to see the colorful carpet. I know that they will love having a colored square that is all their own.
Thank you for your willingness to give during hard economic times. You have provided a carpet that will not only benefit the 18 students I have now, but many more through the years to come. With gratitude, Mrs. S.
