I have wonderful fifth grade students at a high poverty urban school, with various talents and learning modalities.

Many children in my class learn best when they can not only hear, but also see and sing the concepts. I would love to be able to add a video/listening station to our workstation rotation where I could play a short "School House Rock" on conjunctions for grammar, or a video clip about King Tut for an upcoming social studies unit. This station would be excellent for many of my students with special needs as they could listen to our books on cd to help improve their fluency and watch videos with song to help remember important concepts like multiplication facts.

We need one CD/DVD player with one pair of headphones. This will allow me to add a "watch and listen" station to my classroom and give my audio/visual learners a format to help increase their learning opportunities.
