Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

Help support a rich learning environment! I teach 450 K-5th grade students in an school with great diversity.

Through the generosity of others I have created a small library in my classroom. Our book collection continues to grow through donations to the art program. My students have discovered drawing books while searching through the collection. They have a huge interest in these books and they would like to have easy access to them. Currently they are stacked in a pile next to an already full bookshelf.

I would like to expand our library by adding another bookshelf to the classroom. Displaying these drawing books will make them readily available to my students. I would also like to expand our collection by adding 7 new drawing books.

Through your generosity you will help create a rich learning environment in our art room. My students will love being able to find the book they are looking for without wasting any of their precious art time!
