I teach full day kindergarten to 25 wonderful, energetic, and eager to learn 5 and 6 year olds. I teach an inclusion general education class at a new public school. This is my second year teaching kindergarten.

My students love participating in work stations each day. I have set up Literacy Work Stations and Math Work Stations for my students. These work stations give students an opportunity to practice and review skills we have learned in class independently and/or with a partner. While students are working at their work stations, I pull students in small groups to remediate, review, or enrich skills specific to their needs. I am requesting hands-on materials for work stations through this project.

My students are very interested in Literacy Work Stations and Math Work Stations and I want to keep up the momentum. I am afraid that I am going to run out of materials to hold their interest. My energetic students thrive from using hands-on, interactive, meaningful materials and activities. I would like to receive more materials to help spark their interest, attention, and curiosity; as well as help them learn various literacy skills (alphabet, rhyming, sight words, handwriting, sentences, etc.) and math skills (shapes, patterning, counting, graphing, estimation, addition, sorting, etc.). I do not want my students to get tired of using the same materials throughout the entire year. The materials that I am requesting can be used in many ways and at different work stations.

I would like to continue work stations throughout the entire school year, but need more materials to keep them up and running. I am able to reach so many students individually and in small groups while my students are working in work stations. Please help me help my students by funding this project. The look on their faces would be priceless if we received new materials.
