This project will help students with learning challenges create podcast for academic projects by integrating reading, writing, and communication skills. Students will be engaged learners as they make presentations to share with their class and community enriched by this accepted technology.

My students need access to an iPod in the classroom to help create academic projects to improve their communication skills. When students create a podcast they not only learn the content in a creative way, they also learn methods of modern communication. Student podcasts will be shared by uploading them to the school web site and in file sharing.

iPod use will empower and enable my students to do and share research. The use of podcasting rather than the traditional research paper will teach the technology skills as well as the research skills/writing skills covered.

Personal narratives can actually include voiced interviews along with background music from the event(s). I think an important goal of this project is to make the students' work accessible to them, their families, and community. This will provide great motivation to non-traditional learners.
