This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

ATTENTION! High-need urban school needs technology to compete with more affluent urban and suburban schools!

Global history is much easier to understand with visuals to accompany new information. The Internet has a wealth of audio recordings, film clips, and images that make history come alive... but we need to be able to access it! Online access will also allow students to track their own progress in class by reviewing their grades online. Our school already uses a program that puts all of the students' grades online, but many students don't have access to this information.

A netbook with Wi-Fi is a cost-effective tool that will allow students to access the Internet, both to improve their study of global history and to track their progress in their classes.

Your help will ensure that my students can compete in a world that is increasingly reliant on technology. You will make it possible for my students to have a deeper understanding of history, and to track in their own progress in the classroom.
