" MORE "Eager and excited 4th graders are ready to become geologists! We have a high ELL population with very few resources. These students especially thrive in science areas.
Our 4th graders enjoy learning about rocks and minerals but our school lacks the resources and materials to support this science unit. We have used pictures in the past to teach about these rocks and minerals. These students need actual samples to test and experiment with in class. Being able to get their hands on actual rock and mineral samples will make learning about the Moh's hardness scale and other curriculum points much more meaningful. The requested books will also help them identify these samples on their own. Your help with ensure that my students are able to feel like real geologists and not just a student looking at pictures. My students need a Rocks and Minerals of the United States set, a Hardness Scale Minerals Collection, a Rocks and Minerals Book and a Rocks and Minerals Activity Book. HIDELive Updates
