My students need art supplies such as collage frames, foam markers, stamps, and a pencil sharpener to create great projects throughout the school year.

I teach 34 students in a high-need community, 7 of my students are students with learning disabilities. Our students love hands on activities. Since we are in kindergarten, learning through the senses is so important. When they have beautiful art supplies to work with, they enjoy creating them.

Our students' population reflects a 95% poverty level in which most of our students cannot afford class fees. My students love art and are always eager to make new art projects, however, we don't have a lot of supplies. We would like the opportunity to provide the students with fun activities and art projects to create this year.

Every Christmas, we create calendars for our parents. We often use coloring pencils and need a new sharpener because our old one is no longer working. On our hundredth day of school, we usually like to make crowns, but this year, we would like to make hundredth day visors. For Mother's Day, we like to plant flowers and paint pots. The children will benefit from these art projects because they will be able to share their creations with their families and they make nice memorabilia for years to come.

You will make it possible for my students to create beautiful art projects and ensure that our school is a fun nurturing place to be. Your donation can help us believe that education is still valued and appreciated.
