"The Interactive Media major at the Academy for the Arts, Science, & Technology is a two-year program (for HS juniors & seniors) designed to prepare students for both success in their future educational endeavors and success in their careers in a related field. The curriculum is designed for students with a desire to pursue careers such as Multimedia Specialist, Web Designer, Graphic Artist, Interactive Media Specialist, 3D Animator, and Website Maintenance Specialist. My students participate in job shadowing experiences their junior year and internships their senior year. Having the experience of using a drawing tablet before going to businesses will greatly increase their ability to understand the job or career they observe and participate in. A few Wacom Tablets will allow my students to take turns using this technology to enable them to have prior experience before entering a place of business that uses tablets. Your help will enable my students to become acquainted with one more piece of technology that will increase their learning experience within the curriculum and to prepare them for their shadowing/internship experiences.
My students need electronic drawing tablets.

Dear Cynthia Huggins, Sabra Bell, Marcea, Catie and Dino, emilee vinesett, Mrs. Jones, Rick & Linda, Christine, DigiMom, Cathy, Heather, Nicole and Ryann,
This is a wonderful Thanksgiving gift. I am thankful for all the donors that have helped fund this project that will give my students three electronic drawing tablets to share. This will give each student a chance to have some experience with this piece of technology before going into the work place for job shadowing and internships and/or to college. Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated by my students. I will take some pictures and have them share with you their experiences and feelings after they have had the opportunity to use the drawing tablets. Thank you again, and Happy Holidays. With gratitude, Ms. D.
