"This is my second year working as a Kindergarten teacher. It is my first year working at this school. My school is moving towards allowing children more opportunities to learn through play. Every aspect of development is enhanced when children engage in dramatic play. Dramatic play allows children to develop emotionally, physically, socially and creatively. Children develop emotionally through dramatic play when they have the opportunity to express their emotions, develop autonomy and learn to distinguish fantasy from reality. They develop physically by improving their fine-motor skills through the process of changing a doll's clothes, dealing with pretend money, and dialing a phone number. They develop socially when they engage in role-playing,learning about other children's perspective, cooperating and sharing and becoming aware of the differences and similarities within the different cultural backgrounds. They develop their creativity when problem solving, using language skills to communicate with others, understanding symbols and in thinking creatively in becoming anything or anyone they want to be. Dramatic play opens up a world of wonder, imagination, and fun. In order for the kids in my classroom to be able to gain more from the experience of dramatic play, I believe it is essential to have a dramatic play area that is appealing and welcoming to all children. I currently have some playhouse materials that are pretty old and outdated. We need a new child-sized table and stools as well as pretend clothes and accessories to go with them. I plan to paint the old furniture and enhance the playhouse with the materials I've requested. Dramatic Play is not only important for children's development but it is also a very exciting and fun part of the day. Whether the children are playing mommies and daddies or going to the doctor for a physical, they are engaging in learning and having fun at the same time. With your help my class will be able to enjoy countless hours of fun in learning through play. Please help us give our playhouse the makeover it desperately needs. Thank You!
My students need a small table and chairs, dress up clothes and materials to go with them and multicultural dolls.
The cost of this proposal is $590, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear geoff & diana, linette, Ronald, Jessica, Carol, Elizabeth, Rosi Bustamante, Nick and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you so much for your contribution to my project. It's hard to say just how grateful I am. My team and I have been talking about and encouraging play activities with our students and their parents. Dramatic play is such and important part in child development and upgrading our dramatic play area will surely encourage and invite my students to participate in dramatic play. Your donation will bring countless hours of play, fun, and excitement. I can't wait to see the kids' faces when they see all our new things. With gratitude, Ms. R.
