I teach 1st grade in one of the top college prep charter school in California. We provide quality education for a neighborhood of children who would not normally receive it.

As we all know PE has been one of the first subject to be cut in our state but it is one of the subjects that students need the most. They need to learn to work as a team, play fair, and improve their cardiovascular systems and those are skills that they can only learn out on the yard. It is now up to me, as the classroom teacher, to provide them those experiences and we cannot have PE class without equipment like balls and jump ropes.

My students work hard in the classroom but I want to develop them into well-rounded people who excel in the classroom and on the playing field.

Your help will ensure that my students develop into well-rounded learners who never lose their love of play and their chance to develop sportsmanship skills that carry from the field to real life.
