Our school creed is to exceed!!! I am a 2nd grade teacher in the state of Georgia. Our school is located in a very small community. My desire is to see each student I teach exceed not only in reading, but in content area.

Our destination is graduation. In order to reach this goal, I must make reading fun and interesting for the students. Many of my students have not had an opportunity to go to a beach. My goal was to make a beach scene in our classroom for our reading center in hopes that it will somewhat create a beach experience for them, and simultaneously inspire them to read. The majority of these students live in a low socio-economic area.

Our classroom needs a rug for our reading area. I believe this will assist in student learning in the area of fluency and comprehension. Comprehension and fluency are life-long skills the students will definitely need to reach their "Graduation destinations."

"Destination Graduation" is our school motto. Our school administrators would love to provide this; however, we have a very limited budget. The funding has been very limited for the past few years and we could really use your support. Thanks in advance for your donation. We are very appreciative for an opportunity to be considered.
