Monkey See, Monkey Do! I teach a wide range of learners in my 7th grade ELA classes! I have high intellect children, as well as exceptional learners. We all have one thing in common, we love to learn together.

With budget cuts in education, we really have no extra money for books! When I read Immaculee's story, I new she would be an amazing model for my classes!

I really would love a class set of the autobiography Left to Tell, by Imaculee Ilibagiza with Steve Erwin. It is her story of surviving the Rwanda Holocaust. Her will to survive with nothing left will give my students hope and make them appreciate more the things that they already have in life!

Please support my proposal for our class, as we enter into a unit on Africa. There is no better way to learn than hearing 1st hand the story of a true victim turned survivor!
