My classroom is made up of 31 students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. The classroom is a Learning Center which is a combination of students who have less than 50% of their school day in a small group environment and more than 50% of their day (but less than 75%) in a small group environment. Their disabilities range from Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Impairments, Other Health Impairments, Autism, Emotional Disturbances, and Visual Impairments. I love my students so much. They work so hard for me each day and I am trying to provide them a classroom that is stimulating academically so that they can take the information they are learning in my class and use it in their general education class and, ultimately, in life.

With classroom budgets cut to zero, I was shocked to learn that our students no longer have access to band-aids in the office because we have run out and there is no more money for more. Can you imagine my seven year olds falling on the playground and there being no band-aids? Or flu and cold season is coming and there is no money for Kleenex to wipe our runny noses with? And lastly, with the impending winter coming and germs being transferred between students regularly, no access to disinfectant wipes to clean tables that are shared by over 28 students a day? It is so hard to teach when my students noses are running and they ask me for Kleenex and I have to point them to the paper towel dispenser.

We need Kleenex, band-aids, and disinfectant wipes to wipe our noses, cover our wounds, and control our germs so we can get back to teaching and learning. These three supplies can change our classroom by allowing us to quickly "solve our problems" and redirect back to our tasks without these supplies my students will be focused on their skinned knees that would be "magically" healed with a Band-aid or their runny noses that won't stop dripping.

You will make it possible for my students to learn in a clean and safe environment without having to worry about noses running, skinned knees, or germs.
