"I am a Marketing Education teacher at a FOCUS high school in CMS. I teach Sports and Entertainment Marketing (SEM) I and II. In our district a FOCUS school is a school that has a large % free and reduced lunch, and a high need population. My students learn all about Marketing in SEM I class. In the second level class they are now taking what they learned in the first level course and applying it.
I try to run my SEM II class as a Marketing firm for the school. We are constantly creating promotional campaigns for different organizations and clubs in our school. This includes creating commercials that are aired during our school's morning news. The students also create posters and flyers that are posted around the school. My students are frustrated since we do all of this with my personal digital camera that only allows them to film for a few seconds at a time. We are in need of a DVD camcorder that would allow my students to create commercials and other advertising campaigns. This will allow them to use their communication, technology, and editing software skills. These are all skills that my students need to prepare for college. If my students had access to a DVD camcorder ... the sky is the limit. They will be able to display their creativity around the school. I believe that showcasing their work will help build their confidence and inspire my students to further their creativity and education. HIDE My students need 1 DVD CAMCORDER.
