Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 20 wonderful pre-k students in a high-need community. 98% of our school is on free or reduced lunch.

My pre-k students lack the emotional support everyone should be guaranteed from birth to the pre-school years. My little four years are saddled with emotional baggage that impedes their educational development. Our classroom lacks the dolls and the tea set necessary for my students to properly learn how to love in the dramatic play "house" center.

I need six baby dolls to teach my students to lovingly care for a baby. These dolls will be put in the dramatic play center so the students can learn how to show love and play house. I also need a tea set to teach the students social skills and table etiquette in a family setting. These dolls and the tea set will allow my students to play family or house in the dramatic play center.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to be able to develop healthy personal and family relationships by using the dramatic play center, that they carry on through out their lives. Even if their exposure to the dramatic play center is only for nine months, the impact of these educational tools will last a lifetime.
