"I teach a very intelligent group of third graders who come to school every day striving to do their best. We lack the essential items that the students will need to allow them the ability to create, edit and publish a technology based newsletter. In order for the students to complete this task, they will need a laptop computer, a flashdrive and five thesauruses. With your support, the students will be able to visualize their creativity, expand their vocabulary and analyze their ideas and information through technology.
My students need a laptop computer, 3 flashdrives (2GB) and 5 thesauruses.

Dear Cynthia, The Hamond Family Foundation, Greg, @ATOMsanRafael, Jan, Cindy and Anonymous Donors,
I am a third grade teacher with a goal of increasing writing skills through technology. Children are always more exciting and willing to go the extra mile when they have an opportunity to work with technology. This project will allow an ongoing opportunity for my children to work as a team of young journalist; sharing information, interest, concerns, and accomplishments with others in our school and community. Words don't express our gratitude. We are so excited and appreciative to all who shared in making our project a reality. With gratitude, Ms. I.

"I gave to this project Jan just put us over the top for the challenge grant! And because Susie O could use a thesaurus. Hey! Look up some synonyms for the word "Awesome". Oh, and I live in the midwest and the project is way cool."

"I was a teacher myself many years ago and I remember how I would spend my grocery money on supplies for the kids so we could have more dynamic learning experiences in the classroom.
I became a photojournalist after I left classroom education. When I saw this project that combined computers and journalism, I knew I needed to contribute.
Good luck!"
