A Wonderful World of Words to Explore...but NO DICTIONARIES?! I am a fourth grade teacher of terrific students. We would like to expand our vocabulary and research skills. We are in need of a classroom set of dictionaries!

My classroom must share two dictionaries. It is difficult to define words, study syllables, pronunciation, and word origin of words with only two dictionaries. Having a class set would allow for individual research of words.

We are requesting a class set of twenty-five Merriam-Webster's Elementary Dictionaries. With a class set, we could define words individually, compete in races to find and describe words, practice alphabetizing, and study word origins!

With your help, my students will improve their vocabulary, research skills, alphabetizing, and spelling. My students will learn the valuable skill of "looking up words" the "old-fashioned" way!
