"I am a third grade teacher on the south side of Chicago and my room is filled with inquisitive minds.
My students have materials for hands on science, but do not have books to read further about the topics they are learning about. They love the science experiments but are not always interested in non-fiction texts. I brought in a Max Axiom comic book about a characters adventure with sound. The kids cannot get enough of it and they are all interested in reading this one book.
We are asking for the donation of a set of Max Axiom science comic books. With these tools students will be able to gain knowledge on this topic and help further their love of science.
Your donation of books to our third grade classroom will ensure that my students gain the knowledge of science with stories they love. Please consider making this donation to our classroom.
My students need 15 Max Axiom science adventure comic books.

Dear Galen, daniel, Kelly, Maureen and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you so much for your generous donation of science comic books to our third grade classroom. We started using the books the day they arrived. The children love them and are always selecting them for independent reading. They are making great discoveries about science through their reading. These are also the most popular books that are checked out from the classroom library.
Your donation of these fun and exciting books has really helped to spark not only an interest in science but in reading as well. The books are well used and are truly enjoyed by all my students. Thank you again for your generosity.
With gratitude, Ms. S.

Dear Galen, daniel, Kelly, Maureen and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you so much for your generous donation of science comic books to
my third grade class. My students love science and I know that these
books will spark their interests and encourage them to read more about science topics. I am looking forward to their arrival so I can share
them with the class. We have one book from this series already and the
kids cannot get enough of it and it seems to be checked out every night.
You have truly made a difference for my students. Thank you again for your generous donation. It is appreciated.
Reviewed the project essay and sent follow-up questions if needed.
