Our music classes are mad about mallets and crazy about music. I teach music to 400 students from grades kindergarten through fifth. I also teach Jr. High Band. Our school has many students that have special needs and many students that require extra assistance. We have many students with a passion for music and learning.

The music classroom is great, however, we do not have many supplies. There are not any Orff instruments for the students to use. The students seem very interested in instruments, and having a set of Orff instruments would be the perfect fit for our music classroom.

A great teaching resource, called Mallet Madness by Artie Almeida, takes students through a musical journey with mallet instruments. Orff instruments are used throughout the country to teach children how to play instruments in the elementary grade level. In fact, Orff is a style of teaching developed to teach music through rhythm, melody, and improvisation.

With your help, my students would be able to play Orff instruments and enhance their music education at our school.
