"I teach Spanish II/III in a small, rural, Title I, all inclusion, Texas school. I have approximately 67 students in my classes. We have very few books of interest in our school library. Although I have requested several resources in the past, there have not been any funds for Spanish. We need all the help we can get to make sure our students get the opportunity for the success they deserve.
Currently, our school offers Spanish but no other languages. Students have expressed a desire to expand their language abilities but resources are not available. Many of the native Spanish Speakers would like to take German or Latin. It would be wonderful to encourage them to prepare for college if resources were available. I would also love to increase parent involvement in the Spanish community if only I had resources available for disposal. I believe that with the following resources our students would increase their chances of being successful in college.
