I am the Librarian in a small, high poverty school. We were fortunate enough to pass a bond to acquire a new library for our 9-12 campus. However, when the library tripled in size, our budget can't keep up with our needs.

Our library is beautiful, however in need of basic essentials to run properly. We need book covers to allow the students access to the hardback volumes that they want to read. Our library visits have increased 6-fold. Students are actively participating in AR and in our computer lab. The main concern is keeping the books we do have up to par by protecting them for future classes.

By obtaining the needed supplies: book jacket covers, tape, and carts, students will take an active role in preserving the materials they enjoy for future readers. Student learn responsibility and appreciation for what they have by assisting me in the process of wrapping the books. This activity has given many special needs students a sense of worth and pride while bringing them "out of their shells."

Your donation will not only allow the enjoyment of our library to increase, save our books for years to come, but will also give students a feeling of school pride and involvement that is truly priceless! THANKS for your consideration.
