I teach 7th grade life science in an urban area in Oklahoma. Our students are economically disadvantaged. Economic conditions limit the supplies we are able to obtain.

Most of the students are motivated and eager to learn. They are most interested in labs that give them hands-on experience. Our school provides equipment for labs but no supplies. Frog dissections are the high point of the year in lab. Without supplies we can only provide virtual labs. These kids deserve better and I will find a way to make that happen for them.

To make this happen, we need specimens for 105 students. Most of our students are urban residents with little contact with nature. They have limited exposure to many advantages enjoyed by most students. We are asking for one specimen for each two students. We have dissection kits and safety equipment. We just need the supplies to make this happen.

For less than $300 every student in my team can have a real science experience. Your donation can make this happen for children who want to become doctors, researchers and scientists. This could be the key that unlocks their interest in science and technology. You can have a part in that change.
