We celebrate Walk-to-School Day every year and have chosen to purchase healthy school lunches for our students.
Students have an opportunity to learn, in a hands-on way, about nutrition and their body from a teacher who practices wellness in her everyday life. I am requesting books, videos and models that will help my students learn about nutrition and their bodies in a concrete and hands-on way. This project will help my students become have healthier bodies and minds. We feel that if you don't have a healthy body, it is difficult to have a healthy mind for learning. HIDE My human body/nutrition unit needs 11 resources, including body models, a Fruit & Vegetable Rainbow Foods Kit, a "Super Size Me" Educationally Enhanced DVD and a Some Body Game.
The cost of this proposal is $933, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment Ms. D.'s Classroom:
