Magnificent Mathematics

My students need different mathematics items and math activities.

Howdy! I am a middle school special education teacher. All of my students are high need students coming from a very high need community.

All of my students are significantly below grade level. Extra practice either with games or on their own activities will help them improve. These students do not have the supplies to do this at home. I want to liven up the mathematics curriculum. I am new to this placement and am finding that these kids did not use manipulatives or games that taught mathematics. With your help, my students will be successful.

The resources I picked with all centered around mathematics. There was one pocket chart item that taught regrouping and I have 5 of my 7 that can not regroup. I chose items that gave them a lot of practice but did not look like they were from an elementary school. Unfortunately, lots of lower level items are for lower grade students and the pictures reflect that. The items I picked did not have elementary pictures on them. I also wanted to get games that allowed my students to play while learning. They like to play a lot and I want them to learn a lot.

With your help, my students can learn about mathematics. They will be able to move on different goals and objectives instead of being stuck in regrouping. They will master and move ahead. Please help with this and I thank you so much for your help.
