We are growing readers in our Kindergarten room. My Kindergarteners are 90% free and reduced lunch students who love coming to school to learn new things. They are all learning English as their second language and they need lots of support to understand what they hear. Lakeshore Learning has just the story telling kits to help them have fun with literature. They won't even know they are learning until they succeed! Please help me give my students what they need to grow into strong readers and writers...language!

What? That is a question I hear a lot. My students try very hard to listen and watch and follow directions in a strange language and they do very well. But a little help would only make things better for them.

We need puppets because we love to play in Kindergarten. Retelling a story will help them with their language and their story comprehension. The storytelling kits at will help with literacy. The Spanish emergent readers will help my students make the connection between the spoken word and the written word. Once that is done, we can move into reading English.

With your help, we can grow and grow and grow into strong speakers, listeners, readers and writers. Thank you in advance for your much needed support.
