Through Agricultural Education we hope to inspire students to focus on their premier leadership, personal growth and career success. I teach agricultural science in a rural community where agriculture is still a vital part of our local economy and the education of this science is necessary for community growth. Since it is not a subject that is deemed as vital by the district it is not funded properly to make sure students are getting the opportunity to enhance Their animal science knowledge with hands on experiences. Currently we only have 14 students enrolled in Animal Sciences who are interested in becoming Veterinarians although they are not provided with adequate resources to enhance their knowledge.

Currently we only have 14 students enrolled in Animal Sciences who are interested in becoming Veterinarians. Sadly, they are not provided with adequate resources to enhance their knowledge. Students wish for the opportunity every year to learn animal anatomy from hands on practice but I have been unable to provide them with this wish since I am unable to afford it through the budget.

I would like actual fetal pigs, a DVD resource to supplement my teaching, written reviews and tests to check for understanding. The students will be able to work with a partner to learn about the anatomy of a pig while actually using their kinesthetic ability of learning.

With your help students will realize that their dreams of becoming a veterinarian is possible because you will instill the confidence of knowing the anatomy behind animals from practice and not theory. Please help my students never let go of their ambitions of career success.
