"Today a reader, tomorrow a leader." Margaret Fuller I am a fifth grader teacher, that teaches at a Title I School. My students come from a low income home and the majority of them are on free or reduced lunch.

Many of my students do not have books at home and the only opportunity they have to read is at school. My students are currently reading "The Report Card" and they are truly enjoying the novel because they can relate to all the characters in the story. They love the fact that the novel's setting takes place in a school.

I would like to purchase the novels so that my students can have the opportunity to see how interesting novels can be. I would also like for my students to build a love for learning so that they can begin reading outside of the classroom. Some of my students are also poor readers and this will help improve their reading skills.

You will make it possible for my students to read books that they will enjoy reading, help improve their reading skills and help them to learn because the ability to learn is through reading.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
