Our school is an amazing place of learning for more than a few reasons. We are host to the International Baccalaureate Program, and we are also a magnet school, which opens us up for a wonderfully diverse group of children.

This is only my second year at this school, and I've spent much time and effort in building the resources in my classroom. As you can imagine, there are many necessary items needed to run an efficient classroom and even more "wish list" items which unfortunately fall to the wayside due to the necessities. My classroom library is always in need of new books, especially non-fiction, and I could really use your help in developing my library. Many of my students have also shown a keen interest in non-fiction books, where my library falls short. They just love learning about our natural world, as well as historical figures and events. Please help pump some non-fiction into our classroom.

With this influx of colorful, new texts of varying topics into the classroom, your donation will serve to inspire more effective reading habits within the children. Especially with the use of the comprehension centers, some students may more easily discover the joys of reading through more effective independent practice. Other students just need those fact-filled non-fiction texts to peak their curiosity and interest. I have a particular student in mind who reads quite below grade level, yet he can always be found challenging himself with non-fiction texts, as he loves history and nature. So please, for those children who don't feel inspired by the fiction selections in my classroom, I ask you to consider a donation that will further reach their interests.

Trust in me that the excitement on these children's faces will justify your donation, as they delve into these resources. It seems uncommon nowadays that children get more excited by books than video games or television, but with my mention of these resources, I guarantee the children will be anxiously awaiting their arrival in our classroom. Please, any help you can give our cause is much appreciated! Thank you for your time and consideration.
