Our charter school serves high poverty children and their families. I teach kindergarten and it is important for the children to be able to play. My students are in need of dramatic play items. Many of my students do not have play items at home and I believe that they learn so much through play and using their imaginations. I want to give them this opportunity on a daily basis in my classroom.

My kindergarten room does not have any dramatic play items. Unfortunately it is costly to buy these items. I cannot ask the money to be donated from my parents because they are struggling to make day to day ends meet. All students in kindergarten love to play and I want to give them the opportunity for them to do so!

The play kitchen and supplies and the dolls and their supplies is a great beginning for my students to be able to extend their learning through play.

Your donations are truly my only hope for my students. Budget cuts does not allow for my school to supply the items. I cannot afford to do so and my parents are poverty stricken and are unable to help. You would be enriching the lives of 23 boys and girls!
