"We help artistically inclined students develop careers in computer related fields which leverage their talents. This way, they can be involved in something they love (art)and still make a good living.

Our Introduction to Animation and 3D course is already popular. We just need to make more stations available to students so they can get their work done and graduate!

We need to add a few graphics tablets to get the numbers up to the point where I can share them without students having to wait on getting a tablet.

My students need to be able to turn their artistic abilities into careers which will increase the odds of being able to make a living in their area of interest. Computer graphics and web design careers leverage artistic talents in this regard. Our Introduction to Animation and 3D course helps us make this connection, but we need to add some graphics tablets so students can move beyond "drawing" with the standard computer mouse. We have seen the effectiveness of these tablets in increasing student interest and engagement. We have three tablets, but we need a few more to cover classes with 20 students in them. We deeply appreciate your help!

This is an alternative high school which is the "last chance" for many students. Many don't have interest in school because they have interests in the arts. These courses help them make the connection to a career and allow them to be happy and productive citizens. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated!

We need 2 Wacom animation tablets.

Dear Tim, Carrie, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Anonymous Donor,

Thank you so much for your very generous contributions to our high school "Visual Learning for Visual Learners" project! I can't fully express my excitement and thanks for your donations!

It is great to see that you share my vision for helping artistically creative students connect their talents to well-paying careers in the areas of computer graphics, digital media, and web design. The connection my seem obvious to some, but it's amazing how many times I find students who have no idea how they can turn their artistic abilities into bill-paying jobs. I wish you could be here to see the wheels start turning when some of these students realize that "I can do this" on the computer.

The graphics tablets allow them to put their best foot forward, too. With the tablets, their skills aren't masked by the need to try to draw with a mouse. Our best projects repeatedly end up being created by students who entered the digital graphics courses with an aversion to computers -- and seeing this fear break into an affinity is a reward in and of itself.

Thank you for your help. None of this would be possible without your support.

With gratitude,
Mr. N.
