Intermediate School needs books to participate in North Carolina Battle of the Books! I am the Media Specialist at an Intermediate School in North Carolina serving grades 4-6.

Our students would like to participate in the North Carolina Battle of the Books. We are in a hard economic time and it is difficult for the school to purchase multiple books of 1 title. Our media allotment money has decreased from previous years.

The students need 20 copies of the books "Becoming Naomi Leon", "Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery", and "Dog's Life: The Autobiography of a Stray". The students will benefit from this project by reading the above books and participating in a competition against their classmates and other Intermediate schools.

Your help will ensure that the students will have an opportunity to read these books and participate in the contest. The North Carolina Battle of the Books allows students to get excited about reading and share what they know with others. You will make reading fun again and also encourage healthy competition.
