We just finished Susan Draper's award winning novel, "Tears of a Tiger". My students were so engaged that they literally begged to read each day. We had great discussions about serious issues such as teen drinking, drinking and driving, and suicide. Along with these discussions, I was easily able to teach literary elements since the students were so genuinely engaged in this book. I had never had such success with any other novel! Now that we are finished, they are begging for more!!! Begging to READ more about these relatable characters! I would love to continue these great teachable moments with the next book in the series, "Forged by Fire". Please help me by donating to purchase a class set of these books.
