I am a music teacher in a high need community elementary school. My student population consists of 1st through 5th grade students and we are pleased to have our special education students integrated into our music program throughout the week.

As part of our monthly series on hand bells, my students need 3 sets of chromatic hand bells to augment and enrich their learning process with quality instruments that teach basic note and chord concepts in an interactive group forum.

The sets of chromatic hand bells are color coded so that students are able to associate music tones, notes, and chords with the color combination's shown on the included flash cards and those included in our existing curriculum. This allows them to start training their ears to distinguish harmonic and dissonant chords, and more readily recognize individual notes (both whole and half steps).

In order to continue the enrichment process and expand the impact of our hand bell curriculum, we are looking for quality sets of chromatic hand bells for our students. The number of complete sets will allow each entire class to participate in song activities and learn to use multiple bells to fulfill their segment (or segments) of the individual chords or songs. As with all of our music lessons, the importance of these activities is to promote community based musical experiences and show students that music truly is a universal concept that has the power to unite people regardless of their age, color, culture, or any other social difference. Through music they are all significant individuals with a role in a homogeneous community.
