"I have a super group of kindergarten students that love to look at books in which they, or people they know, are pictured. We live in a great small town where we have many wonderful natural resources to use, but we are still very limited in resources and technology. Pictures provide my students with a wonderful resource for learning experiences through our community that include reading practice and great childhood memories.

Although we have access to a digital camera, it is extremely old and unreliable. We have a wonderful photo printer to use, but our camera doesn't always work and the quality is poor. We use pictures to journal our kindergarten year and to create wonderful books about each other and our community. These journals and books are great resources for beginning reading, science, social studies, and math skills. We take pictures of ourselves and things around us to write stories and learn number skills. We also use these pictures to learn about people and places in our community that we are unable to see in person.

If we had a new digital camera we would have the great photos our printer is capable of printing. We would use these pictures to make class books for beginning reading, math, social studies, and science skills and to celebrate our progress throughout kindergarten in our journals.

Your help would make it possible for my kindergarten students to enjoy the use of the pictures we take to create wonderful reading and writing experiences in our classroom. It will also make it possible for them to enjoy seeing their progress through journals that they can keep and share with their families. HIDE

My students are in great need of a new digital camera with memory card to take pictures for our class books and memory books we make throughout kindergarten. The cost of this proposal is $259, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."
