"My kids have to read and have no library!! I work in a high need community with 8th graders. I am trying to model how to read a chapter book to them however I don't have enough books for the kids!

My school decided to do a campaign to try to get students to read a million words throughout the school year. The problem is they don't have the financing to provide books for all the students. I have one book that I read to them but wish that they had one to read and follow along.

I have asked for a classroom set of books for my students so that they can get more out of the school wide campaign.

This would really help my students. They are so far behind in their reading and it is mostly because they have not had reading properly modeled to them on a regular basis. The school is starting the book next week. Anything makes a HUGE impact! THANK YOU

My students need books to read during silent reading time, as we currently don't have a library.

Dear Causecast, George Kaiser Family Foundation and Anonymous Donor,
This is just a token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The books that you donated have helped my students tremendously! It was the first time ALL YEAR my students were able to follow along while I read to them. This allowed them to see and hear what we were reading. They asked better questions and formulated more in-depth responses to questions I posed. The books were used in my classroom and then passed on to my collages for them to use.
Our school is currently suffering from many budget cuts and shortfalls, without your help my students would never have had these vital resources. For low level readers in middle school it is imperative to get them up to speed before they hit high school. Literacy is one of the most important ways we can help them.

Without donors like you, millions of classrooms in the United States would go without!

With gratitude,
Ms. H.

Dear Causecast, George Kaiser Family Foundation and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you so very much for your donation! I can't express to you how much it means to me that you are willing to spread your resources to my classroom!
Your kindness will be shared to my eight grade class and to many other students throughout the years.  These books will provide students the opportunity to read along with me during our SSR time everyday.  It helps my students develop confidence in their reading and shows them that reading can be enjoyable!

My students are very far behind in their reading ability and every second counts! Your donation allows me to better prepare these students for high school, college, and their future! THANKS!

With gratitude,
Ms. H.
