My students have an interest in sounds and music. Many of them are in band or play in local bands. They are amazed how physics plays a part in their music. With the addition of these supplies I will be able to let the students explore the sound of wind instruments, open and closed pipes. They will be able to see how the waves are affected by the open or closed pipe by letting them hear the difference.

My students need the sets of resonance apparatus, tuning forks, and tuning fork hammers. For the project to be successful I need resonance apparatus to create the standing wave along with tuning forks and tuning fork hammers. This will let the students add to their knowledge of how music is formed by examining the physics behind the phenomena of sound.

Your help will ensure that my students will develop a deeper understanding of the physics behind the beauty of music.
