Our high school is located in North Carolina and is largely populated by the children of our military stationed here and overseas. We are a high need school, serving a low income population. With the North Carolina school budget being cut in every department, we no longer have enough funding for audio visual materials and look to you, dear donor, to aid in the education of all these bright young men and women.

A year ago, our Media Center and library caught fire - destroying many valued materials. Rebuilding and restocking the library has wiped out our funds and the audio visual section, in particular, is suffering for it. Our students and teachers use multi-media to provide the best possible 21st Century learning experience. It is of particular importance to have films in DVD format to allow for closed captioning for our hearing impaired students.

This small selection of audio visual materials covers a wide range of topics, appealing to a large spectrum of our students. They have been carefully selected to supplement recommended reading. Not only are these films award winning and listed on multiple national organizations "best of" lists, but they are also titles that our students and teachers have shown a particular interest in viewing.

Audio visual materials and supplementary films are vital to young adults, offering thoughtful interpretations of the world and humanity. They are empowering and mind expanding, helping not only with our understanding of our daily lives but with the vocabulary and context in which we assess ourselves. Our students are eager to learn and we ask you to help us provide them with a quality education. Let's give them the gift of an exciting multi-media classroom experience!
