I teach 9-12 grade computer applications students. We are a public school serving a large percentage of at risk students.

My students get very excited about the opportunity to learn about and use multimedia. They have also shown an interest in serving our community through classroom projects.

We would like to prepare a special Veteran's day program by documenting "Living History" through the use of multimedia. In addition to digitally recording local Veterans, we would like to create digital scrapbooks for them and for a donation to our school library. We would like to photograph the Veterans along with their service memorabilia and create digital scrapbooks honoring them and their service. My students will gain valuable photography, archival, and multimedia skills that will benefit them in future high school and college assignments. We will use digital cameras, editing and storage software for this project.

My students will have the opportunity to learn about multimedia. While documenting local history, they will be able to honor local Veterans and create historical digital scrapbooks for the Veterans interviewed and our school library.
