I teach Texas military children, in grades PK - 5. My students have a yearning for technology-rich lessons to engage and prepare them for success in life.
My students thrive with technology. In a technology-driven world that can often be out of reach for the military families, students enjoy being introduced and engaged in lessons that extend their minds, grasp their imaginations, and fill them with hope. Committed to working hard and taking pride in their products, they come before school and during recess just to work. However, with everything saved on a network drive accessible by any and all on campus, work is often deleted, modified, or moved causing frustration and heartache.
I need portable flash drives (also known as thumb drives) for students to save work. These will be used solely by our military children for the entire school year and end-of-year discs will be created for them to save all their projects to. This will allow us to reuse the drive next year with students. It would be immensely helpful for students to be able to save their work and know there is no fear of it being lost or modified by others.
Your help will ensure my students have a way to save and protect their projects that they have worked so diligently on. You will make it possible for these military children to save their work, transport it between their classroom and lab, and ultimately carry it on to new schools when the military calls for their next transition. Having their work saved on a flash will allow me to easily create a disc for them to take with all of their work to their new duty station. Won't you please help these deserving elementary students?
