"Can you sit on hard wood or plastic all day? I am a Special Education teacher in a public school in the inner city. I have been teaching for over 10 years. Our school is located in a high needs area. My students are diagnosed with learning disabilities and/or ADD. Many also have speech and language disorders.
My students have problems staying in one area. I have a carpet and want to add a comfortable chair for myself and the students. I feel it is important to read to students, have them read to you and have them pair read to each other, daily. I want to have a comfortable area for my students and myself where we can sit and read with each other. Students tend to read more in a comfortable space.
I love books and have a small library in my classroom. I want to provide an area where students feel safe and comfortable to relax and read. You will make it possible for my students to have a reading area in the classroom. Please choose to donate to this needed project. HIDE My students need 1 teacher chair and bean bags for seating in the reading corner.
