MORE
"Shoes of Hope is an international project in which children decorate and donate shoes to children all over the world who don't have shoes. I teach 150 urban middle school students from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. My students are passionate about helping others less fortunate than themselves regardless of their personal situations. We believe in serving others as a way of understanding ourselves and the world. With severe cuts to our art budget we would not be able to participate in this project without this support. We need fabric paint, fabric markers, 3D Puffy fabric paints in a variety of colors. This is an international project that will reach 100's of children who do not have shoes. The children will decorate shoes and add a message of hope inside of the shoes. Your help will ensure that our students become global citizens. By participating in this project the students will have the opportunity to help others less fortunate and increase their awareness of the dire circumstances in which many child of the world live.
My students need 4 sets of fabric paints, 4 packs of 3D fabric paint, 4 packs of 3D crystal fabric paints, 10 packs of fabric markers, 2 packs of fabric spray fashion colors, 4 packs of fabric spray neon colors, 2 classroom packs of puffy paint, and 4 sets of 3D puffy fabric paint.

Dear nancy, Maureen, Mary, mary, Carrie, The Pumpkin Foundation/Joe and Carol Reich and Anonymous Donors,
Thank you so much for your donations to this project. Your generosity will enable 150 middle school students to decorate and donate shoes to children around the world who have none. This project will help them help others and truly become global citizens. Many of our students face challenges in their everyday days. Giving them the opportunity to look outside of themselves and help others less fortunate is a valuable lesson. Due to limited funds many times we are unable to participate in projects like these. Thank you again for your commitment to education and your support for enrichment projects like these. The children and I appreciate greatly. We look forward to a wonderful year of learning and service to others. With gratitude, Mrs. H.
