"I teach two classes of third grade language arts in a high needs community. I'm proud to see that I have two hardworking groups once again. My students are making progress in all subject areas, except handwriting. In all my years of teaching, and it's been quite a few, I've always been puzzled about the handwriting process. With today's schedules of balanced literacy, handwriting has been pushed aside. Well, I refuse to push handwriting out the window. I would love to have handwriting workbooks, so that my students can practice daily. I feel that this daily practice will not only improve their writing but give them a sense of pride as they watch their progress. It would be amazing if we could have the opportunity to practice our handwriting with some inviting and much needed workbooks. Your help with this project will put us on another level of success and pride. Please consider us for this proposal.
My students need 45 copies of the book "Every Child Can Write Cursive".

Dear Michael, Betty Weizenicker, Lindsay, Jennifer, Elizabeth, David, Cristina, Nancy, Erika, Dee, Brittany and Anne,
I'm so grateful to have people such as you in the lives of my students. You have answered yet another one of our prayers when you provided us with these wonderful handwriting workbooks.
The books will encourage my students to practice daily as they take pride in their handwriting development.
Also with these books students will be able to practice not just in school, but at home as well. Hopefully, they will take ownership in their work as it appears more legible each day.
So, thank you for helping to turn my 3rd graders into better writers. Nothing makes me happier than to see my students excited, engaged, and loving what their work looks like. Thank you for your generosity
With gratitude, Mrs. P.

"WOW! You guys are awesome to think of us. You can't imagine how important it is to develop good handwriting. But, with all the other academic concerns, handwriting seems to gets pushed aside. Well, not in my class! So, thanks a bunch."
