I teach a wide range of 50 Special Education High school students with Cognitive Impairments. The disabilities range from mild to moderately severe. On a daily basis we focus our classroom on life skills, independent living, social skills, and basic academics. We are a fairly new program and are trying to create a program which helps all students reach their full potential.

On a daily basis our Cognitively Impaired teens are faced with the obstacles of high school peer pressure. It is my job to help my students understand the consequences of becoming a teen parent. By having access to Ready-or-Not Tots, I will be able to help teach our teens how to stay teen until they are physically, mentally and financially ready to make that life commitment.

By being provided with the Ready-or-Not Tot babies and extra accessories my students will get the needed hands on learning experience necessary for staying a teen. Many of my kids lack the knowledge and firsthand experience of what can occur when taking part in teenage intimate relationships. By having access to these replica babies I will be able to teach my students the importance of waiting until they are physically, mentally and financially ready to start a family.
