Technology In Our Dual Language Classroom

My students will be creating photo story projects on the origin of their name and their ancestry this year, and we would love to have digital cameras to send home with families to take pictures to incorporate them into their photo story project.

Do you want to help us create students that are globally aware and orally dominant in two languages?

My students are a mixture of English dominant and Spanish dominant children. They are partners in leaning and are motivated to learn in both English and Spanish. However, we have limited access to technology that helps us bring our lessons to life. Having real life pictures of my students will help to bring the topic of "who am I and where can I go in this global world" to life.

If we have digital cameras in the classroom. We will be able to personalize many of our experiences and events this year through the use of technology.

This will allow my students the opportunity to feel proud of who they are and to be more aware of the cultural contributions they have made to the United States of America.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
