Reading comprehension and analysis are weak areas at our school. We have decided to implement a literacy campaign to get students excited about reading. We call it PARTY TIME, PARTY - Promoting Active Reading Throughout the Year. Every day, everyone in the school, including teachers and office staff, will read for 20 minutes. Reading clubs and circles will be formed so that students and teachers can discuss and recommend books to others. I have a limited number of old paperback books to offer students for reading materials. I would like to build a new library of books for students to be able to check out and choose from when participating in their PARTY time daily. I would like to fill my reading corner with high interest books, in various genres to accommodate all of the student reading levels and student interests. Please help me foster the love of reading in my students and provide them with the PARTY reading supplies they need to be active readers and learners. HIDE My students need a variety of books to choose from for their daily reading time.
