"Serious need to help my Algebra I students. I teach Freshmen Algebra at a rural school in East Tennessee. For years I have used HP-38G calculators because they were cheaper than TI's and I could scrape enough money together ($38) to buy a few at a time. These are not working now and I cannot find any company to repair them. It is essential that in today's technology world students have the use of Graphing Calculators. I have one class of 34 and one of 14.

As mentioned previously the 10-15 years it took me to have just 20 of the HP-38G calculators and to gradually lose the use of these through attrition will severely hamper the knowledge growth of my Algebra students

Somehow I need to acquire at least 24 of the TI-83 Plus Graphing calculators. I will try to do this 5 at a time. Algebra students can move so much quicker and achieve much more knowledge when the use of graphing calculators is available. We take pride in giving our students the best math education possible and have done our best to provide current technology where we could.

Your help will enable our Algebra I students to continue their math growth and enable them to be proud of the education they are receiving.

My students need 5 TI-83 plus calculators to assist them in Algebra I.

Dear Caitlin, Madeline, Lindsay Morahn, Laura and Anonymous Donors,
There is no way to fully express our excitement and thanks for your donations to our project. We appreciate you understanding how enabling students to have access to technology greatly expands their knowledge capabilities.

The technology funded will allow the students to reach beyond paper and pencil boundaries and greatly increase the speed and accuracy of their work. With this technology it expands what the students can see through quick graphing of equations. Capabilities are exponential, in that, the more they see; the more they can do.

With gratitude,
Mr. M.

Dear Caitlin, Madeline, Lindsay Morahn, Laura and Anonymous Donors,

I want to take this time to say "thanks so very much" to everyone that has seen our need and was willing to help my students with the funds to purchase us the graphing calculators. It is amazing to see "lights get brighter" when students realize the benefits of having this technology. There is so much difference in working through Algebra with the technology of graphing calculators compared to "paper and pencil" only. Through your gracious generosity we have 5 more calculators to open the window of learning wider for our students.

There is no way I can completely express our appreciation for your kindness to our kids. We again say; thank you.

With gratitude,
Mr. M.
